Bees are one of the most important species on the planet and their existence is crucial for all other species, including humans. Every day they selflessly pollinate hundreds of important plants. This number includes not only a large proportion of the fruit and vegetables, nuts, herbs and spices we consume, but also the feed we feed to farm animals. And along with that, the tireless workers produce one of the most beneficial 'superfoods' - honey.
But the bees are in trouble. In the last 15 years, nearly 40% of them have disappeared worldwide, and every year Bulgarian beekeepers suffer increasing losses due to infestations, lack of food and low honey prices. It is our mission to help increase bee populations and preserve the balance in nature.
By adopting a hive, you increase your family by approximately 60,000 new members, support the beekeeper who will care for your bees, receive the honey they have produced and the opportunity to meet them in person by visiting the apiary where they live.

How many grams of honey is in one jar?
The jars have a capacity of 450 g. Depending on the package you choose you will receive 1, 2 or 3 jars per month.
When and how will I get the honey according to my plan?
Each month we will deliver to you the amount of honey that is according to your plan. Shipping rates vary depending on the products you select and are charged upon completion of your order.

– 5.00 BGN/month to customer’s address
– Support a Hive Package:
– 3.50 BGN/month to an Econt office
– 5.00 BGN/month to customer’s address

– Adopt a Hive + package – free delivery
* when prepaying a package for 6 or 12 months, the delivery amount is charged at once for the entire period
Deliveries are made every month within 5 working days of the order date, and we always endeavour to fulfil orders as soon as possible.
Monthly deliveries and change of address:
You can change your delivery address at any time through your account.
Where the hive will be after adoption?
The hive remains part of the apiary (the location with hives) of the beekeeper from whom you adopt it. You enjoy the production of the bees without physically keeping the hive.
How can I be sure that the honey I get is genuine?
We check every honey delivered by the beekeeper with a laboratory test that will show whether the honey meets the requirements and whether it is produced from the bee. You can find out more about the laboratory tests we carry out here: https://istinskimed.bg/laboratorni-testove-na-meda/
What are hive visits?
We will assist you to visit your hive and meet your beekeeper. Visits are made during the active period for bees (spring-autumn). Full information on how the visit works can be found here.
What is Smart equipment for my hive?
Smart equipment is our device Beebot, which has sensors for temperature, humidity and sound and on through algorithms gives notifications to the beekeeper what is the state of his hive.
How is the monthly subscription payment made?
The fee is payable on a monthly basis or in one instalment for 6 or 12 months; by debit/credit card or cash on delivery. If you choose monthly card payments, we will automatically withdraw the monthly fee from your account each month on or around the date of the original order.
I want a company invoice. How do I get it?
The packages you see on this page are designed for families and are adapted to family honey consumption. When completing your order, you can specify the details of the legal entity to which we issue the invoice by ticking the “Would you like an invoice?” box.

I ordered a package of Honeycomb. How do I choose my personalized label?
Once you order your Adopt a Hive package, you can log in to your account on our site and select your label option from the Custom Items menu. Almost everything on them can be changed to suit your wishes. Or if you have your own label idea, feel free to share it with us.
What happens if I cancel my subscription?
If you cancel your subscription, we will stop delivering the honey and other services to you. The hive will continue to live in the beekeeper’s apiary and be cared for by the beekeeper. Details of how to terminate your subscription can be found in the Terms and Conditions of the relevant package.
